EXCLUSIVE: Daniel Waters’ 100 Favorite (as opposed to The Best) Albums of the 00s

Some you hipsters may be aware of a movie called Heathers that came out in another century and pretty much defined the vernacular from which contemporary hipster patois has evolved. If you don’t, then asking you to fuck yourself with a chainsaw may be a bit much.

The twentysomething who wrote it is Daniel Waters (Happy Campers, Sex and Death 101) and every year he throws amazing parties for everything from the Superbowl to birthdays to elections of first black US presidents. More importantly, these parties usually afford the guests the near autistic-level comprehensitivity of Mr. Waters’ pop culture lists – be they concerning movies, music or Survivor competitors. (No comprehensitivity is not a word. We just made it up. Kinda like Waters does with English whenever he pens a new script. And by now he is sick of hearing that.)

In fact Waters’ lists are so popular that Entertainment Weekly published one of his movie lists last year in its pre-Oscar centerfold.

In this exclusive, MusicZeitgeist.com is very proud to share with you Daniel Waters’ top 100 list of favorite albums for the-decade-that-no-one-knew-what-to-call; 2000-2009.
